Our mission at Alexion is to bring hope to patients and families affected by rare diseases by delivering innovative, life-changing therapies. An early step in helping families with the challenges ahead is to provide them with information that makes understanding the disease easier.

In honor of Liver Disease Awareness Month, we developed a 3-D video that demonstrates at the molecular level the mechanism of Lysosomal acid lipase deficiency (LAL-D), an ultra-rare condition that typically manifests with symptoms of liver disease. The video is intended to simplify the discussion and educate families and providers about the effects of LAL-D.
