Plastic waste is poured into the ocean by humans unknowingly. Yes, the amount of plastic waste entering the ocean is increasing every year. Marine life and ocean health are affected, and ecosystem imbalance is created because of plastics on beaches. This situation of polluting the ocean and marine life should be minimized or stopped. To tackle this situation, Yourbackers foundation members in Pondicherry are working towards cleaning plastics around the seashore daily. 110 tons of plastic waste like plastic bottles that are thrown by tourists on the seashore have been removed already.
