Archer Materials Limited (ASX: AXE) is pleased to announce the Company’s exclusively licenced Korean patent application filed under the Patent Cooperation Treaty to protect and commercialise intellectual property associated to the 12CQ quantum computing chip technology, is now undergoing substantive examination procedures in the Republic of Korea.

The KR Application has significantly progressed in the Republic of Korea patent granting procedure. The next steps involve procedural matters related to formal compliance and amendments immediately prior to the patent being able to be granted for protection in the Republic of Korea.

The Company considers the Republic of Korea as a key strategic jurisdiction to protect and commercialise its IP. The Republic of Korea is an advanced economy and a major global manufacturer and exporter of semiconductor devices, and according to the World Economic Forum, is the highest-ranked economy in the world for information technology use.

Archer holds an exclusive licence to the IP, with patent applications in Australia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, China, Europe and the US, which are currently undergoing patent granting procedures, with key progress in the patent applications’ prosecution to be released to ASX.
