SAFE brought together an esteemed panel of experts to announce the release of its latest report, The Pillars of Power: A Strategy for Security and Industrial Resiliency. The panelists, similarly to the report, call for urgent and coordinated action to restore America’s industrial base, secure critical supply chains, and strengthen national defense through energy and technological leadership. The report offers rigorous analysis and lays out actionable steps that include:

Expanding domestic mining, refining, and processing of critical minerals.
Strengthening U.S. energy dominance with all-of-the-above production.
Investing in manufacturing scale, particularly in automotive and defense.
Modernizing the electric grid to support AI, electrification, and military readiness.

As the great power competition intensifies and American industrial and military applications become increasingly dependent on adversarial critical mineral supply chains, panelists discussed the report’s key recommendations: a national strategy grounded in four key pillars—mineral and material security, energy dominance, industrial capacity, and efficient resource use—to ensure U.S. prosperity and security in the 21st century.
