KIDS Snorkel with Manta Rays -AT NIGHT!- Night Manta Ray Snorkel Trip- Hawaii Oceanic - Kona, Hawaii

Absolutely breathtaking! We hop into the boat with Hawaii Oceanic and glide just 5 minutes into the bay where manta rays have been gathering for over 50 years. Attracted to the plankton that gathers here from the lights of the adjacent hotel, young manta rays come to feed. It's the only place in the world where you can witness such a sight on a regular basis! This is a safe haven for the mantas, and it is important that you don't flail or kick and do your best not to touch the mantas as they loop around and around under your lit up board. They are protected here, and our guide with Hawaii Oceanic does a fabulous job explaining the behaviors of the manta ray while we float on the surface of the water. The water is a comfortable temperature, and the crew gears you up with a wetsuit and snorkel gear. We thought it may be scary, but our kids were immediately entranced by the mantas. We watched them for almost an hour and it was the most magical animal encounter we've had yet!!
