My current endeavour is to try and develop an application in Custom TKinter to show if a share has produced a profit or loss over time (including any dividends they have paid). This tutorial covers the first phase to obtain share price information from yfinance, and, plot it in the app within a TKinter widget, while also showing the ex dividend dates, and, amounts.

I'm afraid to say as a tutorial it is a bit rubbish, but my heart is in the right place! I did program the application but unfortunately due my age I do forget why I programmed some of the code! I am a relative newbie to programming in python, so by all means comment on whatever aspects of the video you feel is necessary, including any data you feel would improve the graph / understanding etc.

By all means let me know your thoughts, and, which shares you are following.

The video was put together using the free version of DaVinci Resolve. I used the VS code integrated development environment (IDE) from Microsoft.
