C-frame Hydraulic Straightening Press for Metal Pipes and Profiles.

Our workshop recently completed the production of a state-of-the-art C-frame hydraulic press. This machine was specifically designed and engineered to excel at straightening metal tubes and profiles, meeting the industry's demands for precision and power. The press is intended for use in a facility of a major tank manufacturing company, demonstrating the reliability and robustness of our solutions even in the most demanding industrial environments.

Power and Technical Characteristics of the Press
The new hydraulic C-press develops a power of 160 tons and is equipped with a workbench with a length of 2500 mm and a width of 500 mm, allowing the processing of large workpieces.

The surface of the bench, which is completely precision milled to ensure easy sliding of the components and excellent accuracy during the straightening phase, has T-slots. Four support carriages slide along these guides for optimal positioning of the piece to be straightened.

The innovative support system is made up of two types of trolleys:

External Carts (Lifting and Rotation): These two carriages perform the dual function of lifting and rotating the tube. The hydraulic lifting of the piece occurs simultaneously through the action of a single control lever located on the front. The operator can then manually rotate the tube thanks to the high-smoothness bearings on the carriages, making it easier to find the exact straightening point.

Central Carts (Support): The two central trolleys are dedicated exclusively to the stable support of the metal tube or profile during the operation.

Both central carriages are equipped with a removable and interchangeable top plate, a detail that maximizes the straightening press's versatility. The standard supply includes various tube straightening configurations:

A V-shaped housing plate for pipes with diameters from 20 mm up to 50 mm.
A second specific plate for larger diameters, from 60 mm up to 150 mm.
Additionally, for straightening flat metal profiles, a plate with a completely flat surface is supplied for each central carriage. This interchangeability ensures that the 160-ton hydraulic press can handle a wide range of processes.

Advanced Features and Monitoring
The main cylinder of this C-frame hydraulic straightening press is powered by two interchangeable punches (both V-shaped) that adjust to the diameter of the pipe being processed.

The hydraulic cylinder features a 600 mm stroke and operates at a controlled descent speed of 9 mm/sec. This slow speed is a key ergonomic feature, as it allows the operator to control the press with a single lever, leaving the other hand free to move or hold the workpiece, ensuring maximum safety.

Another distinctive feature is the laser device for straightening precision. Positioned on the side of the cylinder, this instrument measures the distance from the tube in real time, quantifying the deformation of the piece. The data is displayed on a digital display, allowing the operator to monitor the work instantly and precisely identify the points requiring further intervention.

Finally, a 200 mm service hole has been created in the center of the bench to facilitate the removal of bulky components such as crankshafts or other mechanical elements, completing the profile of this hydraulic C-press as a complete and powerful solution for any industrial straightening need.
