Dark Unicorn Productions Ltd's Artistic Director Paddy Cooper sits down for an in-depth interview with leading London musical theatre producer Danielle Tarento.

Having moved from acting into producing at the turn of the 21st century, she co-founded the Menier Chocolate Factory theatre in London Bridge - now recognised as one of the most important off-West End venues for musical theatre in the UK.

She left there a decade ago to found Danielle Tarento Productions and has enjoyed notable successes, as both producer and casting director, with her productions of ambitious musicals in smaller spaces, including the hit "Titanic: The Musical" and "Ragtime" at the Charing Cross Theatre and the UK Premiere of "Grey Gardens" at the Southwark Playhouse, with Sheila Hancock and Jenna Russell.

She talks about making the shift into producing, what attracts her attention and what actors should probably avoid singing in her audition room.
