When I cook, efficiency is important to me. In fact, trying to be as efficient as possible is my priority every time when I cook. I want to cook all my meals from scratch in less than 30 minutes. Who would like to waste time in the kitchen when there are many other things that fill our modern lifestyle? I am certainly not one of them. When I think about efficiency, time is not the only consideration. I want my cooking to be economical, nutritious, and delicious. Therefore, when I talk about efficiency, I really mean how to maximize my time to achieve economy, nutrition, and taste as well. You will notice when it comes to my YouTube videos, I try to embody all these aspects. I might not verbalize all these considerations in every one of my YouTube videos, but the implicit message of efficiency is always present. The foo young template epitomizes efficiency in my cooking. It is extremely rapid to cook, with blazing speed from start to finish. It will win a drag race against any other techniques for cooking eggs. However, it is also a winner for economy, nutrition, and taste. In this variation of the basic template, the addition of cherry tomatoes and Portobello mushrooms provides added nutritional benefits and more complex flavors (assuming you enjoy tomatoes and mushrooms). This might not be the most exciting dish with the ingredients (chicken, shrimp, or salmon) that you might prefer, but it is not shabby either. For those of you who enjoy eggs (scramble eggs and egg omelets), this dish might fit the bill when you arrive home from a long work day or from picking up your kids after softball. If you have adopted advanced prepping, you will have this dish cooked in less than 5 minutes. To me the efficiency brings satisfaction more than having a healthy and nutritious dish on the table for a rapid meal. I also feel a sense of control and orderliness in my life to be able to cook a dish with such efficiency.
