Health Secretary Wes Streeting has told Sky News he is "embarrassed" to have known Peter Mandelson.

Speaking to the Electoral Dysfunction podcast, he told Beth Rigby he was releasing six months' of WhatsApp message for the sake of transparency.

Sir Keir Starmer's leadership is coming under increasing pressure after the resignation of key government members and a call from Scotland's Labour leader for the prime minster to quit.

The crisis was triggered by revelations of Mandelson's association with Jeffrey Epstein - and how much Sir Keir knew when he appointed him UK ambassador to the US.
