Climate x Health: The next frontier of climate resilient primary health care

Описание к видео Climate x Health: The next frontier of climate resilient primary health care

Climate change disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable countries and communities around the world and threatens to reverse progress in health and sustainable development.

The World Health Organization now estimates that climate change will cause 250,000 additional deaths per year between 2030 and 2050. At the 2024 World Health Assembly, member states approved a resolution on climate and health to spur greater action. As we reflect on the progress we have made, we also look ahead to COP 29 in Azerbaijan and COP 30 in Brazil.

In this webinar, PATH's Kimberly Green and Swati Mahajan join Agnes Soares da Silva (Ministério da Saúde), Daouda Diouf (Foundation S), and Vincent Bretin (Unitaid) to discuss locally led primary health care solutions that address the complex impact of climate change on the health and wellbeing of people across the globe.
