How To Make The Pink Lady

Today I show you how to make the Pink Lady. This cocktail is first found in Print in Jacques Straub's 1913 Manual of Mixed Drinks. Its also know to be called The Secret cocktail or the Pink Shimmy.

Pink Lady #1

1.5 oz/45 ml Gin
.5 oz/15 ml Applejack
.5 oz/15 ml Simple Syrup
1 Bsp/5 ml Grenadine
.75 oz/22.5 ml Lemon Juice
1 Egg White

Method

1. Add all ingredients into the shaker glass.
2. Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
3. Strain out Ice and shake for 10-seconds hard.
4. Fine strain into a Coupe.
5. Garnish With two Lemon Balm leaves and a Luxardo cherry.

Pink Lady #2

1.5 oz/45 ml Gin
1.5 oz/45 ml Half & Half Cream
.5 oz/15 ml Grenadine

Method

1. Add all ingredients into the shaker glass.
2. Shake with ice for 10-15 seconds.
3. Strain into a Glass of your choice..
4. Garnish With two Lemon Balm leaves and a Luxardo cherry.
