On November 1-2, 2015, Sister Maria Elena Pacheco, General Superior of the Carmelite Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mexico, visited Don Bosco Hatrans with sister Juanita, the leader of the Mission of the sisters in the Philippines. They came upon the invitation of Fr. Ly Samnang, Rector of Don Bosco in Kep Province, to see the possibilities for a cooperation, so the sisters can assist the formation of the girls and young women of the Project.

The Carmelite Sisters of the Sacred Heart were founded by Mother Luisita (Maria Luisa Josefa del Santisimo Sacramento, June 21, 1866 – February 11, 1937) on December 24, 1904 in Atotonilco Alto Jalisco, Mexico. Currently they are in 8 countries: United States, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile and Philippines.

The Don Bosco Hatrans Technical School was founded in 2011 by Fr. Albeiro Rodas (Ly Samnang) to provide technical skills for poor young people from the provinces of Kep, Kampot, Takeo and Ratankiri and the Don Bosco Kep Children Fund. It includes also the empowerment of young women in Cambodia, with the Banteay Srey Women Center, also known as the Piet de Visser House for girls. Fr. Samnang invited the sisters to assist in this purpose to support girls and young women in Cambodia. The sisters are actually in discernment.
