In most States a traffic ticket infraction hearing is a civil hearing and as such, the burden of proof is a “preponderance of evidence.” For the Court to find that you committed (find you "guilty") the infraction the Judge must find by a preponderance of evidence that you committed the alleged traffic infraction. In other words, the judge must believe that it was more likely than not that you committed the alleged violation. And that is what this video discusses - this very low burden of Preponderance of Evidence.
