STORYLINE:
Thousands of students marched through Paraguay's capital, Asuncion, on Friday, demanding better quality education and school facilities in the country.
Waving flags and chanting, the students staged a brief sit-in in front of the Ministry of Education before marching off to gather for a rally at Paraguay's Congress.
The secondary school protesters were joined in their protest by university students, teachers and parents, calling for improvements in the education system.
