Drawing things in perspective can seem daunting, but if you follow the rules it all works out.
So, with drawing a canal boat, your vanishing point will be way in the distance. From the lines radiating out from it, you can workout your angle of view and make your drawing work from there.
A canalboat is pretty much made out of slabs welded together.
think of it as a floating box and add the fiddly bits on top!

As with all things - Perspective becomes easier with practice!
