This video demonstrates how NTC temperature sensor thermistors work.

Dear Diary,

Using the thermistors we pulled out of the Fujitsu unit last week, I demonstrate how to test them and also how they work with a glass of cold tap water and the piercing tips from my Jumper King kit (https://supco.com/web/supco_live/prod...)

NTC - negative temperature coefficient - means when the temperature rises, the resistance drops. And when the temperature drops, the resistance increases.

This is the opposite of a PTC - positive temperature coefficient - where both temperature and resistance rise and lower together.

I forgot to mention that testing them will also confirm whether the thermistors are shorted or open.
