Craziest and Dangerous Freestyle Polo in Gilgit Baltistan I The king of games & Games of King

For the first time in the history of Gilgit Baltistan, Night Freestyle Polo Tournament has been played in Wahab Shaheed Polo Ground Gilgit. Polo “the king of games and the game of kings” is the oldest and most traditional game of Gilgit-Baltistan. The traditional Freestyle polo is only played in Gilgit-Baltistan; various Polo Tournaments are being organized by Gilgit-Baltistan Government throughout the year.
“Freestyle polo is only played in the G-B and Chital in the world, providing an opportunity for joy and entertainment to the locals as well as foreign tourists.
Polo is our traditional game and our recognition in the world. We are fully committed to keeping it intact in the future,” he said. According to Green Society Development Network Baltistan (GSDNB) - a youth-run organisation, polo was played between small kingdoms, villages and rival groups of Gilgit and Chitral.
