Kuang Si Waterfall (also spelled Kuang Xi or Tat Kuang Si):
is one of Laos' most iconic natural attractions, located about 29 kilometers (18 miles) south of Luang Prabang. Known for its multi-tiered cascades and turquoise blue pools, it's a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers.

🌿 Key Highlights
Three-Tiered Waterfall: The main waterfall drops approximately 60 meters (200 feet) and is followed by a series of smaller cascades and beautiful pools. The pools at the bottom are open for swimming and are naturally colored by limestone, giving them their famous turquoise hue.
Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre: Located near the entrance, this sanctuary is run by Free the Bears and provides a safe home for rescued Asiatic black bears (moon bears). Visitors can observe the bears in large forested enclosures.
Nature Trails and Hiking: You can hike to the top of the falls for panoramic views and to explore a quieter section of the forest. The trail can be slippery, so good shoes are recommended.
Picnic and Relaxation Areas: Shaded picnic spots are available near the lower pools. You can bring your own food or buy snacks from nearby vendors.

📍 Location & Access
Distance: ~45 minutes from Luang Prabang by tuk-tuk, motorbike, or minivan.
Entry Fee: Around 20,000–25,000 LAK (approx. $1–$1.50 USD).
Hours: Typically open 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM daily.
