Montsalvat was founded in 1934 by artist and architect Justus Jorgensen, inspired by medieval European villages and the ideals of artistic collaboration. Its iconic buildings, including the Great Hall, were crafted from reclaimed bluestone, mudbrick, and timber by a community of artists. Today, it remains a vibrant arts centre and wedding venue, a living testament to beauty, vision, and creative spirit.
