BYD Han L DM-p [2025] Walkaround Experience

The 2025 BYD Han L DM-p is the flagship high-performance plug-in hybrid sedan in BYD’s lineup, built around the brand’s advanced 5th-generation DM technology. It combines a turbocharged 1.5-liter petrol engine with dual electric motors in an intelligent all-wheel-drive configuration, delivering a system output of around 400 kW (544 PS) and approximately 670 Nm of torque. This setup allows the Han L DM-p to sprint from 0–100 km/h in about 3.9 seconds, while still offering exceptional efficiency, aided by a 29.4 kWh Blade Battery that supports a pure electric driving range of roughly 200 km under the CLTC cycle and a total combined range of up to around 1,400 km.

Performance and technology are key highlights of the Han L DM-p, with BYD focusing on both driving dynamics and intelligent systems. The sedan features a decoupled intelligent electric all-wheel-drive chassis for precise torque distribution and stability at high speeds. Advanced driver-assistance is handled by BYD’s DiPilot system, paired with the “Heavenly Eye B” intelligent driving suite, while the cabin is centered around the DiLink 150 intelligent cockpit, offering a smooth, connected, and highly digital user experience. DC fast-charging capability further improves usability, allowing rapid energy replenishment for both electric and hybrid operation.

Inside, the 2025 BYD Han L DM-p emphasizes luxury, comfort, and safety in equal measure. Depending on trim, buyers can enjoy premium Nappa leather upholstery, seat massage, ventilation functions, a head-up display, and an optional Dynaudio 12-speaker sound system. Safety is reinforced by a high-strength steel body structure and an extensive airbag setup, with up to 11 airbags available on certain versions. Measuring approximately 5,050 mm in length with a 2,970 mm wheelbase, the Han L DM-p offers generous interior space, positioning it as a technologically advanced, high-performance, and long-range executive sedan.
