In 1929, Cleveland, Ohio, hosted the National Air Races and Aeronautical Exposition. There was a large parade on Euclid Avenue, August 24, 1929. The National Air Races Parade was combined with the Cleveland Plain Dealer Flower Pageant. Of course, there are a few still photos in existence of the parade. But no one expected there was film footage of the parade until now. From my original 16mm film home movie, here is the 1929 National Air Races Parade and Plain Dealer Flower Pageant in 1929. Highly notable in the parade is the appearance of the Goodyear Blimps overhead. Some historians say there were three blimps at the parade, but this footage clearly shows that there were four.
