At 10 years-old, Caylee Blosenski was diagnosed with bone cancer, or osteosarcoma, and spent nine months in the UW Children’s Hospital Carbone Cancer Center. In 2017, Caylee finished chemotherapy, and despite losing part of her leg, she was doing back handsprings a month after the amputation. Since then, Caylee's passion for gymnastics and acting continues. She's one of the stars of the latest version of “Cheaper by the Dozen,” which premiered on Disney+ in 2022.

To help raise money for kids like Caylee, UW Carbone's Race for Research, a 5K run/walk, is held annually to benefit adult and pediatric cancer research. This event is part of the American Family Insurance Championship week, which raises money for the American Family Children’s Hospital and other local charities.
