Canon R50 Lens Tests - low light and challenging conditions
   • CANON R50 | Lens and Video | Performa...

I've been wanting to challenge my skills with the new Canon R50 and try out these lenses for this great camera.

All I can say is I'm impressed with the results and these lenses performed admirably well in low light and challenging situations.
_______
Did you know you can capture the Milky Way with your Canon R50 easily and relatively inexpensively with the equipment you already have?
Let me show you how I captured these images with my R50. I’m blown away with the results.

First you’re going to need a tripod or a means of keeping your camera still. love the ZOMEI Q666 - this is a stable light weight magnesium alloy tripod perfect for travel that also converts to a monopod and has a quality arca swiss style quick release plate and quality ball head. I’ll leave a link to a video I made for the best accessories for the Canon R50.

For these images I used the included kit lens - yes that’s right the RF-S 18-45mm IS STM lens. Nothing fancy, nothing expensive!

I was lucky enough to be in an area with no light pollution on a recent trip to Uluru in Central Australia. Here the International space station is actually closer than the nearest traffic light so that tells you how remote the location is (although the resort is only just 30mins down the road - it has no traffic lights). These images were captured about 9 - 10pm at night with no moon. Moonrise was around 2am so it as very dark.

If you’re getting great value from this video please consider a like and subscribing to the channel as it really does help get this information out to a broader audience.
