পার্শ্ব একাদশী ব্রত মাহাত্ম্য কথা। আগামী 3/9/2025 পার্শ্ব একাদশী তিথি। এই একাদশী তিথিতে যুক্ত হয়েছে মহাদ্বাদশী, বিজয়া মহাদ্বাদশী।শাস্ত্রীয় সিদ্ধান্ত অনুযায়ী একাদশী বর্জন পূর্বক মহাদ্বাদশী তে ব্রত উপবাস পালন করতে হবে। সেই জন্য একাদশী যুক্ত মহাদ্বাদশী ব্রত উপবাস পালন করতে হবে আগামী 4/9/2025 ইং তারিখে। আপনারা এই দিনে একাদশী ব্রত পালন করবেন।
ব্রহ্মবৈবর্ত পুরাণে শ্রীকৃষ্ণ যুধিষ্ঠির সংবাদে এই একাদশী ব্রত মাহাত্ম্য কথা বর্ণিত হয়েছে। মহারাজ যুধিষ্ঠির ভগবান শ্রীকৃষ্ণ কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন হে ভগবান ভাদ্র মাসের শুক্লা একাদশীর নাম কি? এর ব্রত মাহাত্ম্য কি? আপনি কৃপা করে বলুন। উত্তরে ভগবান শ্রীকৃষ্ণ বললেন যে ভাদ্র মাসের শুক্লা একাদশীর নাম পার্শ্ব একাদশী। এই তিথিতে ভগবান তার পার্শ্ব পরিবর্তন করেন, তাই এই একাদশীর নাম হল পার্শ্ব একাদশী। এই মহাদ্বাদশী তে শ্রবণা নক্ষত্র যুক্ত হয়েছে বলে এই দ্বাদশী শ্রবণা দ্বাদশী নামে পরিচিত। এই তিথিতে ভগবান বামনদেবের আর্বিভাব তিথি তাই এই তিথি বামন দ্বাদশী নামে পরিচিত। এই তিথিতে বামণদেবের পুজা অর্চনা করলে তিনি এিলোকে পুজিত হন। তিনি বিষ্ণু লোক প্রাপ্ত হন। এই একাদশী তিথি অত্যন্ত পূণ্য প্রদা, পাপনাশিনী, মুক্তিদায়িনী। দানব বলি মহারাজা যুদ্ধে দেবতাদের পরাজিত করে তাদের স্বর্গ থেকে বিতাড়িত করেন। দেবতাদের অনুরোধে আমি ব্রাহ্মণ বালক রুপে আবির্ভূত হই। বলি মহারাজার কাছে আমি এিপাদ ভূমি দান চাই। বলি মহারাজা আমাকে দান দিতে রাজি হন। আমি তার দান কর্মে প্রীত হয়ে তার রাজ্যে বাস করি। অন্যদিকে ক্ষীরোদ সাগরে শায়িত অনন্তদেব এই একাদশী তিথিতে পার্শ্ব পরিবর্তন করে। এই একাদশী বর্জন করে যদি কোন ভক্ত দ্বাদশী তিথিতে ব্রত পালন করেন, তীর্থ স্নান করলে সহস্র গুণ ফল, জপ, দান ধ্যান, যজ্ঞ, সবকিছুর সহস্র গুণ ফল লাভ করেন। এই মহাদ্বাদশী অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ মাহাত্ম্য পূর্ন। আপনারা সকলেই এই ব্রত পালন করুন।
