Ilkeston CC Boxing Day Hill Climb

Well the final event of 2024 is finally here, it's the Ilkeston Cycle Club Boxing Day Hill Climb on Bath Street, Ilkeston.

Ilkeston CC have been running this event since 2017 and it really is a great one to be part of. I've competed in this since 2021, it was in fact my first competitive event since taking up cycling at the start of 2020, so its quite a special one for me.

I've not made it a secret what my hopes are for this, I want to break the 80 second barrier, my current best is 82 seconds and I want a second place finish in my age category.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to win it, but whilst Simon Hale is still in my age group, that isn't happening!

Grab yourself a drink and something to eat, settle down and watch how it all goes down.

Thank you all so much for watching and supporting me this year, we've been through some ups and downs together and I hope you've enjoyed this rollercoaster of a year.
