Journey Into Imagination with Figment | POV Ride Through | December 2002 | EPCOT

Full ride through of the third and current version of Journey Into Imagination. Filmed during our family vacation in December 2002.

History: The original Journey into Imagination ran from March 5th, 1983 through October 10th, 1998, when it closed for major refurbishment. The refurbished Journey into YOUR Imagination opened on October 1st, 1999 and was pretty much universally panned. The ride was shortened significantly, Dreamfinder was completely removed, and Figment had very limited appearances. Due to this response, the ride was closed again on October 8th, 2001 for another refurbishment. Journey into Imagination with Figment opened on June 5th, 2002 and is the version that remains in the park today.
