Hint to dogfighting in a P-47: use your flaps lol
On a serious note: the P-47 actually has really good instantaneous turn at high speeds when you use the elevator key, and also can turn really tight when using Takeoff/Landing Flaps. In a sustained turnfight it sucks though. You have to use the keyboard because with mouse aim; the instructor seems to "blunt" the instant turning rate.
If at any point the Yak just chose a direction and started a horizontal turnfight I would have been dead.
