Getting the boat in the water becomes a much more daunting task then I was expecting and so does launching my home made swim raft. It's not all work though! We get to embark on an epic motorcycle ride through the National Forest surrounding the cabin, immersing ourselves in nature's wonders. And of course, we had to whip up a feast over the fire in our dutch oven.

About our Family Cabin: The original Steward Family Cabin was built in 1936 and has been a place where generations of Stewards have grown to love and cherish the outdoors. There have since been a few iterations of that cabin, and today this is our family's getaway in the Northwoods of Minnesota. This building was built in the 1980s as a bunkhouse for the main cabin and was later converted to be our full time cabin structure. Our cabins in northern Minnesota have been the inspiration for all of my Tiny Cabins.
