BOUDOIR BLUES
It's not all that bad being in quarantine
thank god I've got the news to watch on my brand new 292 inch LED TV screen
they say that outside it's all gone deathly quiet
they've got the army in the police just in case the people riot
Do you want to give up our freedom so easy my brother says he wants to fall off the grid but he knows they'll find him wherever (it is) he's hid
Some people really have the gall to go out after dark
I've even seen children and families bring their dogs for a walk in the park
Grandad and Grandma are in isolation at home
but it's great I can still talk to them on my mobile phone
Do you want to give up our freedom so easy my brother says he wants to fall off the grid but he knows they'll find him wherever he's hid
What a scene, what a life to choose
To live in quarantine
well that's not much use
n you've no excuse man
coz u got the boudoir blues
the shelves are empty in the shops
supermarket man prays it never stops
but if they rob he'll call the cops
but you can't use cash to buy your soda pops
Stuck in the house is great for me, I can write all day, there's endless games to play
But they've closed the markets on the street the migrants family's got no food to eat
they're starving at their Daddys feet
So here's a little mystery maybe it's the things you cannot see that pull the strings on the bow
Round them up, lock them away, at least me, and mine, will be ok, it's such a lovely day
Do you want to give up our freedom so easy my brother says he wants to fall off the grid but he knows they'll find him wherever it is he's hid
What a scene, what a life to choose
To live in quarantine
n it's not much use
and you've got to face the truth
u got the boudoir blues
What a scene, what a life to choose
To live in quarantine
n there's your point of view
there's no excuse
u got the boudoir blues
What a scene, what a life to choose
To live in quarantine
and you've got to face the truth
you've no excuse
u got the boudoir blues
What a scene, what a life to choose
To live in quarantine
and you've got nothing to lose
you've no excuse
u got the boudoir blues
