Understanding of directional and non directional nature of Orbitals

Описание к видео Understanding of directional and non directional nature of Orbitals

An electron can not be regarded as having a fixed path around the
nucleus, called orbits. It is a matter of probability that an electron is more likely to be found in one place or the other. So we can now visualize a region in space surrounding the nucleus, where the probability of finding the electron is maximum. Such a region is called as an orbital.
Magnetic quantum number describes the orientations of the orbitals.
