This video shows us the various dynasties that existed before the times of Shivaji Maharaj in India.
These dynasties include the 'Pal' dynasty in Bengal, the Gurjar Pratihar power in Central India, the Rajput dynasties of Gahadwal and Parmar in North India, the Chola power in Tamil Nadu, the Hoysal dynasty in Karnataka, the Rashtrakuta and Yadava dynasties in Maharashtra and the Shilahar dynasty in Western Maharashtra.
During the Yadava period, the Mahanubhava Bharat and the Varkari movement were founded.
However, these dynasties didn't last long with foreign invaders attacking Indian territories. These include the Arabs, Turks and Afghans.
Later on, Sultans got a hold of Delhi and thus was formed the Sultanate of Delhi.
The Sultans who ruled India were Muhammad Ghuri of Ghur, Qutubuddin Aibak, Iltutmish, Razia Sultan, Bulban, Alauddin Khalji, Muhammad-bin-Tughluque, Firoz Tughluque and Ibrahim Lodi.
Then, emerged the Kingdoms of Vijaynagar and Bahamani due to the instability arising in the Sultanate of Delhi.
