Murungai keerai/drumstick leaves/sahjan is a variety of spinach, whose leaves are very small.

As already known, any spinach variety for that matter is very rich in iron content. For those who have a very less haemoglobin content in blood, can take this spinach variety in order to increase your iron content in the blood.

In this video, I have shown how to prepare South Indian style murungai keerai kootu. This dish is eaten as a side dish for vendakkai kara kulambu, puli kulambu, poondu kulambu or any other kulambu varieties.

This dish is highly rich in iron and protein. and is very healthy for kids and adults.
