Inauguration of the New Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital 9/24/2021

In government’s continuing efforts to further strengthen the healthcare system in the country, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte led the inauguration and unveiling of marker of the new four-storey Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital (SKPH) located in the Municipality of Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

In his remarks, President Duterte commended the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat for making the medical facility a reality. According to him, the said hospital will improve the health care capacity of the Province and will also allow SKPH to serve patients from neighboring localities.

“Therefore, I urge all of you to maximize the services and the state-of-the-art equipment that have been made available and accessible to you through this new hospital,” the Chief Executive said.

He recognized the efforts of all those behind the hospital, especially the health care workers and medical frontliners who will commence work once it becomes fully operational during this time of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

“More importantly, have confidence and trust in our competent and compassionate health care workers and medical staff who always give their best to take care of our well-being,” President Duterte stated.

The Chief Executive assured his ‘kababayans’ that his administration fully supports local governments in giving quality medical services to the Filipino people, especially in implementing the provisions of the Universal Health Care Law.

“Let us continue working together to overcome the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and build a stronger and healthier --- for our future. So congratulations to everyone on this remarkable achievement,” President Duterte concluded.

According to the Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat, the SKPH has a total bed capacity of 399. It is situated inside a land of 3.3 hectares near the Provincial Capitol. More than 2,000 personnel composed of doctors, nurses and other medical staff will work to render services in the different sections of the hospital.
