Part 3 of my stairs renovation project is all about framing and rebuilding. In this video, I start constructing the new layout by framing a brand-new wall, relocating a heating duct, and completely demolishing and rebuilding the lower staircase. I also frame in a knee wall to support the new design and prepare the space for the next phases of the remodel.

This part of the project is where everything really starts to take shape. You’ll see how I tackle structural framing, adjust HVAC to fit the new wall layout, and rebuild the lower stairs to match the updated plan.
