SAIC, China Plant Profile | #9 | October 2018| Motown India

This is the ninth of the 12 plant profile episodes put together by #MotownIndia. #Motown India visited the SAIC plant in China on the invitation of MG Motor India in October 2018. For those of you are not aware, though #MorrisGarages is British car maker, it is now part of the #SAIC company.
Currently, #SAICMotor's main businesses cover the R&D, production and sales of both passenger and commercial vehicles. It is now actively promoting the commercialization of new energy vehicles (NEVs) and internet connected vehicles (ICVs), and exploring the R&D and industrialization of intelligent technologies such as smart driving.
#SAICMotor is also engaged in the R&D, production, sales of auto parts, (including power drive systems, chassis, interior and exterior trims, and the core components and smart product systems of NEVs such as batteries, electric drives and power electronics), auto-related services such as logistics, e-commerce, energy-saving and charging technology, and mobility services, auto-related finance, insurance and investment, overseas business and international trade, big data and artificial intelligence.
