August 2023 numbers are out for our desert communities. Today I focus on Rancho Mirage, California. We're still in a seller's market, though prices have adjusted over the last few months. Things are down from the highs of COVID. This is largely due to interest rates. However, we don't have this huge fall-off that so many agents and consumers felt was imminent.

If you've been holding off on a move, think again. The moment interest rates drop, we'll see buyers come back to the market in droves. So unless you're selling and have somewhere else to live, what you might pick up on the sell side you'll likely lose on the buy side.

And if you're thinking of buying, we'll see more inventory surface as the cooler season starts and snowbirds return. Until then, you've got your pick of good homes without as much competition.
