HH speaks at the Qatar National Library inauguration | خطاب صاحبة السمو في افتتاح مكتبة قطر الوطنية

His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, officially inaugurated Qatar National Library (QNL) at the grand opening ceremony of its new building in Education City. The event was attended by His Highness the Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation (QF). In an address during the ceremony, Her Highness highlighted the historical importance of the libraries in the region and QNL’s role as an institution of reference for Islamic and Arab heritage.

تفضل حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، أمير البلاد المفدى، بافتتاح مكتبة قطر الوطنية في المبنى الجديد للمكتبة بالمدينة التعليمية، بحضور صاحب السمو الأمير الوالد الشيخ حمد بن خليفة آل ثاني، وصاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر، رئيس مجلس إدارة مؤسسة قطر. وألقت صاحبة السمو كلمة خلال الحفل حول تاريخ المكتبات وعن مكتبة قطر الوطنية بصفتها مؤسسة مرجعية للتراث العربي والاسلامي.
