In this video lesson we will review key vocabulary terms used for solving linear equations - variable, solution, zero pair, and inverse operations. Will will review the Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division Properties of Equality. We will discover which mathematical operations undo each other and use this idea to solve one-step equations. We will check our solutions as well. We will also solve equations with symbols - pi. And, we will use reciprocals to solve equations with fractional coefficients. Student practice is embedded in the lesson with modeled exemplar solutions.
