Joy to the world (Christmas carols, arranged for organ by Luca Raggi)

Joy to the World is a well-known Christmas Carol composed in 1719 by Isaac Watts. The melody comes from famous Handel's Messiah and was later drafted by the composer Lowell Mason in 1836. Joy to the World refers to the coming of the Messiah.

Joy to the World è un famosissimo canto di Natale composto nel 1719 da Isaac Watts. La melodia deriva dal celebre Messia di Handel ed è stata in seguito elaborata dal compositore Lowell Mason nel 1836. Joy to the World (letteralmente "gioia al mondo" ) fa riferimento, appunto, all'arrivo del Messia.
