I finally found a way to fix the fps in this game, so now you can see my fps is 144 instead of 62. Of course the 62 fps cap was totally smooth but it is far more enjoyable to play on a high fps coun't when you have a 144hz monitor specifically designed for high fps rates. For that reason, I will always use tweaks to alter the fps cap if it's possible to do so. if it doesn't work, please verify your game files and try again. For me the tweak didn't work at first but it turns out it was because my game was missing some files. It is recommended to set the fps cap 2 units above your monitor's refresh rate to ensure the cap is smooth. Eg. if you have a 144hz monitor like me, you should set the value in the text file to 146.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China is a 2.5D side scroller action platformer and stealth game hybrid. It is a spinoff from the Assassin's Creed series and the first part in the so-called "Chronicles trilogy." Instead of being an open world game with realistic graphics like the main series games, Chronicles: China instead features linear levels on a 2.5D plane. The game's graphics resemble an animated film and the visual style is heavily influenced by traditional Chinese paintings. In terms of gameplay, it is a much more challenging game than the mainline entries.

Plot synopsis: The game is set in 16th century China, as the Ming dynasty starts to crumble. Emperor Jiajing, a tyrannical and cruel man, has ordered a purge of all those who oppose him, known historically as "The Great Rites Controversy." Members of the assassin brotherhood were among those who were persecuted by the emperor's men. A young woman named Shao Jun (A character first introduced in the animated short film Assassin's Creed: Embers.) survived the purge of the brotherhood and fled to Europe. She was trained in Italy by the legendary assassin mentor Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Shao Jun returns to her homeland after two years and learns emperor Jiajing is only a puppet ruler. The real people in power are The Eight Tigers, a group of corrupt eunuchs within the imperial court, who are secretly templars. Shao Jun sets on a guest to avenge her dead friends and restore the Chinese assassin brotherhood. To do so, she must kill all the eight tigers, as well as emperor Jiajing.
