In this video, we bring you the latest Pakistan weather update for January.
According to current weather models, a weak to moderate rain system is expected to enter northern and upper parts of Pakistan around January 4–5. This system may bring rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (including some plain areas) and rain with snowfall in Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.
Most parts of Punjab are likely to remain dry, however isolated areas may receive light to moderate rainfall.
Meanwhile, most regions of Balochistan are expected to stay dry, with only a slight chance of light rain in some northern areas.
Weather models are also indicating the possibility of a stronger and more widespread rain system after January 15, which could affect up to 90% of Pakistan.
However, this forecast is not confirmed yet and may change with time.
