How to do Stucco Skip Trowel Texture using fibered cement in Vacaville Ca

Описание к видео How to do Stucco Skip Trowel Texture using fibered cement in Vacaville Ca

In this episode, I will show you how to do a skip trowel texture using fibered cement plaster mixed with masons sand, water along with 16/20 finish material and add while glue to help it stick to its mother base coat, which is comprised of the fibered cement and medium coarse sand and of course water. In the video I briefly mention how much easier it is to apply the texture when the wall is wet. Hydration following the texture coat is not nearly as important here as in the base coat itself, but it won't hurt to wet it down if you want to. I let the base coat sit for about a week before texturing the walls. If you've watched other videos on stucco texture, most of them probably tell you to spread a base coat on first. This system I am showing you in this video is actually a 1" rigid foam board installation with 3/8" base coat. We float the base coat after it sits long enough to be able to do a sand float finish on it. Then we leave it for one week and come back and just texture over the sand finish. I don't particularly care for this system, but sometimes we don't have an option. We have used this system before on numerous occasions, but that doesn't mean that I like it. The rigid foam board adds 4.03 R-value to your home and adds acoustic value as well. Good luck!
