In a significant step towards women's empowerment in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the fifth phase of Mission Shakti on September 18, 2025, in Lucknow, coinciding with the upcoming Shardiya Navratri celebrations. This flagship initiative, aimed at ensuring women's safety, dignity, and self-reliance, will run for 30 days starting September 22. Key highlights include the deployment of 44,177 women police officers across 57,000 gram panchayats, intensified foot patrolling, activation of PRV-112 vehicles, and strengthened Anti-Romeo Squads at temples, fairs, and public spaces. CM Yogi emphasized that Mission Shakti is a holistic social movement, not just a program, with over 3.44 lakh events and participation from 2.03 crore women in the previous phase.
