The LMB X-ray Crystallography Facility offers instruments and expertise to help LMB researchers who succeeded in obtaining crystal hits to collect X-ray diffraction data of good enough quality to solve the structure.

In this video, Dom details the crystallographic project workflow from sample quality, crystallisation, crystal soaking, crystal harvest, to in-house X-ray and synchrotron data collection data, processing and structure validation. He also discusses the impact of prediction programs like AlphaFold and cryo-EM on structural biology and compares the utility of X-ray crystallography with nmr, cryo-EM and AlphaFold for different targets.
