These entities form a significant portion of the rice import market and play a vital role in ensuring that rice is available in adequate quantities and at reasonable prices.
While rice importation has its advantages in terms of meeting the demands of the growing population and supporting economic growth, it is also associated with several challenges. These include foreign exchange fluctuations, which can affect the prices of the imported rice, transportation, and storage issues, among others.
