Plot Summary

The story begins one year after the events of the second film. Hiccup, now the chieftain of Berk, and his Night Fury dragon, Toothless, are rescuing captured dragons, which has led to their island becoming overpopulated. Hiccup dreams of finding the mythical "Hidden World," a safe dragon utopia his father once told him about.

Their peace is threatened by the appearance of Grimmel the Grisly, a ruthless dragon hunter who wants to capture Toothless. Complicating matters, Toothless discovers and forms a bond with a female Light Fury. The plot follows Hiccup and Toothless as they must confront Grimmel, discover the Hidden World, and ultimately make a heart-wrenching choice about the future of dragons and humans to protect them all.
