Participants included notable stars like Montreal Canadiens defenseman Sheldon Souray (representing Gordon Russell's Crystal Kids Youth Centre in Edmonton), goaltender Martin Brodeur, forwards Simon Gagne, Mike Cammalleri, and Tim Connolly, as well as tough guys like Tie Domi, Donald Brashear, Georges Laraque, and Brad May. Other players rounded out the field: Craig Rivet, Dustin Penner, Marc Bergevin, Bryan McCabe, Maxime Talbot, and Scott Walker.
