Take a behind-the-scenes look at "Shadows", the highly acclaimed 2D animated short film, directed by Rand Beiruty and produced during his Ciclic Animation residency in France. ✨

Inspired by the true story of Ahlam, an Iraqi teenager who fled her country, the film explores her journey with sensitivity and emotion, blending realism and fantastical elements to convey her memories, fears, and intimate emotions. The bold colour palette creates a striking contrast between the raw narrative and childhood fragility.

It premiered at Annecy 2025 and has been selected for several international festivals. "Shadows" showcases the meticulous work of a committed creative team, including talented Polish artist Marta Magnuska, who shaped the film's visual identity.
