On the 7th of September 2015, which happened to be Labor Day in the U.S., the service pattern on the IRT 7th Avenue Line was altered due to construction on the (1) Line below Chambers Street.

From 34th Street–Penn Station on southward, (1) trains ran express to 14th Street, where they terminated. In order to also serve the local stops along the line, (2) and (3) trains became local between 34th Street and Chambers Street, from where they continued on their regular route into Brooklyn.

This film shows these local (2) and (3) trains at Franklin Street, Canal Street and Christopher Street.

A separate film will show (1) trains terminating at 14th Street.
